Rudraksha tree is a big evergreen broad-leaved tree, which grows in the area of the Genetic Plain of foothills of the great Himalayas and in Nepal central. The main stem of Rudraksha tree is cylindrical and it has circular subdivision. Rudraksha tree has gray white woof and course in texture with tiny vertical lenticels and slim horizontal furrows. Its twigs spread in all directions. Its leaves emerge shining green externally and dull internally. It has ovoid, pointed and stretch flowers, about 1 to 2 cm in diameter. Its fruit is globes and drupaceous with fleshy exterior along with light green in color. Rudraksha beads are enclosed by an outer shell which is blue in color and is hard and tubercle on the inside. On each Rudraksha seed there are vertical lines running down its surface. These lines are called Mukhi or the cleft or furrow on the surface and determine the type of Mukhi that Rudraksha. For example Seeds with one vertical line is one Mukhi Rudraksha, and if there are  two lines it is known as  two Mukhi etc. Composition Rudraksha contain 50.00 % carbon, 0.95% nitrogen, 17.9% hydrogen and 30.5% oxygen. A Rudraksha tree takes about 15 years to full-grownup and bear fruits. A Rudraksha bead is kept in water for many of days, then this bead is taken out after that peeling off the pulp is done.

Rudraksha bead are commonly comes from 1 to 14 Mukhi, but these are found in 1 to 38 Mukhi. But by and large five-faced Rudraksha are found effortlessly and in large quantities.
